Andrea was previously employed by Shropshire Council within the SEN and Inclusion Team, working with children, young people, their families and schools for over 25 years. She is passionate about education and has enabled many children to have positive outcomes in their school careers. Andrea has extensive experience in supporting schools and parents with strategies and advice regarding the day to day management of children with challenging behaviours. She has successfully written and delivered parenting courses, and supported parents and families with the challenges presented when bringing up children with additional needs. Working in Shropshire schools, Andrea appreciates the everyday rigours of the curriculum and is committed to working in partnership with children, families, schools and commissioners to provide autism specific, person-centred outcomes for children and young people with needs related to the autism spectrum. She values the positive abilities of all children on the autism spectrum but also understands the challenges presented by any child with additional needs.
