Tania Pyburn, ASD & SLCN Specialist Advisor

BA, PGCE, MEd (Education & Speech and Language)

Tania Pyburn has been dedicated to working in the field of SEN for over 20 years. She was previously employed by Gloucestershire Council’s Advisory Teaching Service, working as a Specialist Advisory Teacher for children with ASD and SLCN. She has a Masters in Speech and Language Difficulties and is a licenced I CAN Talk Boost tutor for KS1 and KS2.  As a specialist practitioner, she has a range of experience working in Primary and Secondary mainstream schools, special schools, residential settings and specialist centres. Tania is a qualified Drama Teacher with expertise in using drama techniques to enable students to develop confidence with social communication and interaction skills. She has delivered a wide range of autism and language training for schools and county wide programmes, as well as at national conferences. She has been actively involved in delivering SEN training within the PGCE training programme at Marches Academy.  Tania is currently engaged in additional specialist training with Chester University to also become a qualified play therapist.
